I'm Only Human - solo album/tour (1980 - 1981)

For his first solo album, Michael teamed up again with Silverhead-bassist Nigel Harrison (who had since become a member of Blondie).
Michael: "I wanted to get back to something that I had perceived in the beginning, and the best way to do that was to work with an original collaborator."

I'm Only Human was produced by Mike Chapman, known for working with Blondie, Suzi Quatro and The Knack.

Michael found some success in the UK with this album, where the title track went top 5 on the radio charts. He also did some concerts in the UK in 1981 and performed on the BBC music show "The Old Grey Whistle Test".

The album was released on both LP and cassette in the US.
It was also released in the UK, Germany and Australia.
